Bruno RIGUTTO, Pianist

Pianist, Composer and Conductor; Laureate of the Marguerite Long Competition in Paris and of the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, Bruno Rigutto embarqued early on on an musical international career, invited by the most famous conductors: Carlo Maria Giulini, Georges Prêtre, Lorin Maazel, Kurt Mazur…

With a bold personality full of contrasts, streching from subtle poetry to powerful lyricism, Bruno Rigutto pays tribute to Samson François, with whom he studied for ten years and to whom he owes “a sense of freedom in music, generosity, a wanting for imagination, and above all a feel for the keyboard.”

From 1968 to 1978, this great French artist has recorded, for DECCA-France, several recitals and piano concertos of  the classical and romantic repertoire – Haydn, Chopin, Schumann, Liszt, Tchaikovsky, Dvorak as well as XXth century music from Ravel and Prokofiev. DECCA has decided to honor Bruno Rigutto by re-issuing these recordings (in a set of 8 CDs).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
